1944 Warsaw Uprising in photos

The Warsaw Rising Museum, which tells the story of a bloody World War revolt in the Polish capital, has issued a new edition of a captivating album of photographs from the time of the 1944 insurgency.

The photographs are by Eugeniusz Lokajski, aka “Brok,” a Polish Olympic athlete, soldier and one of the best known photographers of wartime Warsaw.
