The National Media Institute has published its report for 2022 on "Media Services and Infrastructure in Polish homes in 2022".

The results show that the mobile phone is the media appliance most often owned in Polish homes with 96.9% of Polish homes owning at least one mobile phone.

94.7% of Polish homes own a television set, but this number is lower for cities and "younger households" (measured by the age of the oldest member of the household).

70.1% own a computer and 41% declare they use VOD or streaming services like Netflix. This number is higher for younger households again suggesting the younger generation is moving away from traditional media.

81.2% of Polish homes have a radio of any kind and by far the most popular way of listening to the radio is in the car - 53.9% of Polish homes use the car radio.

The National Media Institute was set up by the National Broadcasting Council (KKRiT) in 2020.
