This will be the 9th edition of the event, which is organised by the Pro Musica Viva foundation, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s polskieradio.pl website reported on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian Music Days festival represents an annual showcase of Ukrainian music from the 17th century to the present, officials said.

This year, concerts will be held on September 3, 5 and 10, concluding with the world premieres of new music by Bohdana Frolyak and Olena Ilnytska, according to the organisers.

The 2023 Ukrainian Music Days festival will feature two renowned acts from  the southwestern Polish city of Wrocław, the Wrocław Baroque Ensemble and the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra, officials said.

Roman Rewakowicz, the festival’s creator and artistic director, said the concerts would be an unforgettable experience and showcase the rich musical culture of Ukraine.

The programme of the 2023 Ukrainian Music Days festival is available on Pro Musica Viva’s official website.

The festival’s media partner is public broadcaster Polish Radio and its dedicated station for Ukraine, Polish Radio for Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.

Wednesday is day 518 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
