The show was launched at Budapest's Polish House on Sunday, Poland's PAP news agency reported.

It showcases works by 15 Polish foot and mouth painters, including Kazakhstan-born Walery Siejtbatałow, whose hyperrealistic, photography-like paintings have caught the attention of collectors such as French actress Brigitte Bardot, according to organisers.

The paintings on display in Budapest "prove that art knows no barriers, no boundaries" and that "one can paint without using hands," said Alicja Gołyźniak from the Sokół Arts Centre, in Poland's southern Małopolska region, which co-organised the exhibition.

Poland has 27 foot and mouth painting artists, according to official data.

Globally, there are over 800 foot and mouth painters in 76 countries. They are represented by the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists of the World (AMFPA), based in Liechtenstein, the PAP news agency reported.
