The gigs are part of Sting’s World Tour, which begins in the United States in February, and takes in several European countries later in the year, including Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, United Kingdom, France and Germany.
The tour, on which Sting performs with his own rock band, includes some of his most popular hits, both from his time as The Police leader and his solo career, such as "Fields of Gold", "Roxanne", "Every Breath You Take", and "Message in a Bottle".
Sting was the principal songwriter, lead singer, and bassist for The Police from 1977 to 1984. In 1985 he launched a solo career.
His first visit to Poland was in 1996. It was followed by many sold-out Polish tours in later years, one of which, in 2011, included a special concert to mark the 85th anniversary of Polish Radio.
