Rosadziński - who shares his work online, especially on Instagram under the nickname krakow-astrophotography - said this is the fourth time NASA has acknowledged his work.

In 2024 alone, two of his photos were featured, and in 2023 an image he took on the Spanish island of La Palma also gained recognition.

Rosadziński has long specialised in landscape astrophotography and deep-sky imaging. The recognition of the Polish artist’s work coincides with a rare celestial event visible today.

Perseid meteor shower lights up Polish skies

The peak of the Perseid meteor shower will be visible over Poland on 12 August around 10 p.m. However, a recent full moon means about 84% of the moon will be illuminated, which may make viewing the meteors more difficult.

Nevertheless, many people across the country are expected to gather and enjoy the celestial display together.
