A landmark building on the River Vistula is set to reopen as the Pavilion of Dance and Other Performing Arts, giving Warsaw its first year-round home for contemporary choreography.
The Pavilion of Dance has been established in the space formerly occupied by the Museum of Modern Art, after the latter moved to its permanent location on Marszałkowska Street.
The pavilion aims to become a vibrant cultural meeting point, encouraging participation from all age groups and fostering the city’s performing arts scene.
Agnieszka Łaszczuk spoke to the project’s curators who explain how the former Museum of Modern Art has been transformed - and what audiences can expect from the season launching this January.
