Actor Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, praised Gdańsk for its charm and atmosphere.

“It’s a truly beautiful place. The cobblestone streets are very idyllic. The people are really nice… It was really great. Honestly, I really want to go to Warsaw and see Krakow,” he said.

Donald Tusk, who was born in Gdańsk, responded on social media, confirming the city’s appeal.

“Gdańsk is truly beautiful - I can confirm this. But there are wonderful places everywhere in Poland, and the whole world knows it,” he wrote.

The politician added a playful nod to the series’ supernatural villains: “Dear heroes of Hawkins, once you have dealt with Demogorgon and Vecna, I invite you to Poland.”
