Polish-Scottish festival returns to Aberdeen [INTERVIEW]

The Scottish port city of Aberdeen is hosting the 9th annual Polish-Scottish Mini Festival, a series of cultural events aimed at bringing together Polish and Scottish communities through the arts.

Organised by the Polish Association Aberdeen, the festival runs from January through March.

The programme includes music, film, dance and visual arts.

Its film strand features screenings such as Home Sweet Home, presented as part of the Weekend of Polish Cinema project, with a special appearance by Polish film director Wojciech Smarzowski.

Mateusz Łagoda, head of the Polish Association Aberdeen, spoke to Polish Radio’s Kamila Lutostańska about the idea behind the festival and its role in Aberdeen’s cultural life.
