Baiyi Tao from China won second prize, while Jayda Lu from Britain placed third.
Born in 2009, Dragan lives and studies in Legnica, south-western Poland. She comes from a family with musical traditions, both of her parents and sister also playing the violin. She made her debut with the orchestra at the age of six. A laureate of numerous competitions in Poland and abroad, she has performed with many symphony and chamber orchestras.
Dragan was among twelve outstanding young violinists selected to compete in the fifth edition of the Tibor Junior International Violin Competition, which is named after the prominent Hungarian violinist and music teacher Tibor Varga (1921-2003).
