Addressing the United Nations Security Council on Monday, Zbigniew Rau said that "the unprovoked, unjustified, full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine made a cruel joke out of the UN Charter and Helsinki Final Act."

He called on the UN Security Council to do everything it can to stop Russia's aggression against Ukraine, Poland's PAP news agency reported.

Rau warned that Russia's blatant violations of humanitarian law and aggression in Ukraine posed a threat to the continued existence of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which Poland is chairing in 2022.
