Polish inflation at 2.3% in December: flash estimate

Inflation in Poland stood at 2.3 percent in year-on-year terms in December, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Thursday in a flash estimate.

The figure was 0.3 percentage points lower than forecast by economists polled by Poland’s PAP news agency.

In November, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland were 3 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier, according to the Central Statistical Office.

In October, Poland's consumer price index stood at 3.1 percent, the state-run statistics agency said.
