Andrzej Duda made the comment after convening with government ministers in Warsaw ahead of Thursday’s NATO summit in Brussels, Belgium, Poland's PAP news agency reported.
The US president is due to arrive in Poland on Friday and meet with Duda the next day.
The Polish president said on Wednesday that he and Biden would discuss the security of NATO’s eastern flank and a worsening humanitarian crisis caused by Russia's war against Ukraine.
Duda added that his talks with Biden would focus on “security, including Poland’s security, the NATO alliance and Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.”
“This visit proves Poland’s importance in NATO and the region,” Duda told reporters.
The Polish president noted that Biden would on Thursday also attend a special summit of NATO leaders amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The gathering is expected to set the stage for the Western military alliance’s summit in Madrid, Spain, in June.
As he departed for the Belgian capital, Duda urged NATO "to change its strategic concept for the coming years, in line with the changes of the security architecture in our part of Europe," the PAP news agency reported.
Thursday is day 29 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Poland on Wednesday reported it had welcomed nearly 2.18 million refugees fleeing Russia's attack on Ukraine.
