However, the country's SME sector has experienced a series of shocks in recent years.

First it was hit hard by the global pandemic in 2020 and 2021, and now many businesses are facing growing inflation and additional pressure generated by the arrival of Ukrainian refugees fleeing Russia’s invasion of the country.

Michał Owczarek talks to Grzegorz Piątkowski, Head of Analytics for the Polish SME Ombudsman's Office, about the threats and opportunities for the sector.
