Polish GDP to grow 0.3% this year: IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects Poland's economy to expand by 0.3 percent in 2023, its staff announced at the end of a recent visit to the country.

“The main policy challenge is to lower inflation back to the target without unduly weakening the economy,” the IMF wrote in its mission concluding statement.

“We project inflation [in Poland] to fall from 16.6 percent at end-2022 to 7.2 percent at end-2023,” said Jan Kees Martijn, the head of the IMF mission to Poland.
