The Belarusian defence ministry recently announced a large-scale military training exercise just across the Polish border.

The exercise involves mercenaries from Russia's notorious Wagner Group, which found its new base in Belarus, according to reports.

This could result in "provocations," says the Polish defence minister, who has decided to relocate some of his country's military forces eastward.

Meanwhile, Pavel Latushka, a former Belarusian ambassador to Poland, says he will submit a motion to the Polish parliament to designate Belarus' Lukashenko regime as a "state sponsor of terrorism."

One of the arguments is that Belarus is strengthening its collaboration with the Wagner Group, which is responsible for numerous war crimes and other abuses of human rights.

Radio Poland's Marcin Matuszewski has this report.
