According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), radio remains one of "the most trusted and widely used media," building on more than a century of its history and offering a variety of content through different devices and formats.
UNESCO said in a social media message on Tuesday that radio reaches more people around the world than any other medium and has been a powerful catalyst for understanding and dialogues, amplifying diverse voices, and providing life-saving information.
