Ukraine's most urgent needs after two years of war: audio report

As Ukrainians mark the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of their country, there is no indication that the war could end anytime soon.

Civilian casualties stand at around 30,000, according to the United Nations, although the actual figure is likely much higher.

The extent of military fatalities remains undisclosed.

So far, there are no signs that Russian and Ukrainian leaders are ready to sit down to a negotiating table.

So, what are Ukraine's most pressing needs at this juncture?

The "three main points" consistently on the agenda are "weapons, weapons, and once again, weapons"—to enable Ukraine to effectively mount a counterattack without delay and minimize loss of life among its soldiers, Oleh Kuts, Ukraine's consul in Lublin, eastern Poland, told Radio Poland's Danuta Isler.
