In recent months, Ukraine has grown impatient with Democratic President Joe Biden's reluctance to let it use Western weapons against targets deep inside Russia.

Ukrainian soldiers, fatigued by the prolonged conflict, feel that the current level of support is insufficient to achieve a breakthrough on the front lines.

"Surprisingly, many soldiers are hoping for a Trump victory, believing that radical measures are needed to end this war, and they just want to go home," said Aldona Hartwińska, a Polish volunteer delivering aid to the Ukrainian front.

"For them, a Trump win offers hope of acquiring long-range missiles, along with the green light to use them on Russian territory," she added.

Radio Poland's Michał Owczarek reports.
