Warsaw deploys new tech to combat air pollution

Poland remains among Europe’s most air-polluted countries, with elevated levels of harmful particulate matter posing a serious public health risk.

Air quality typically worsens during colder months, when many households rely on solid-fuel heating, sometimes burning prohibited or low-quality materials that generate toxic emissions.

To better identify violations and curb illegal pollution, Warsaw City Hall has acquired a new mobile air-quality monitoring laboratory equipped with advanced detection technology, officials said.
