In Poland, 2025 has certainly been busy but not always an easy one to follow. Politics stayed loud, but regional security and, of all things, space-related topics also kept stealing the spotlight.

This review tries to look back at the moments that defined Poland in 2025. The year has brought some changes, but also a lot of uncertainty as many people feel geopolitical anxieties, and worry about the cost of living, and where the country is heading.

As 2025 will soon be history, I’ve enlisted the help of Jacek Kucharczyk, the chief of the Warsaw-based Institute of Public Affairs think tank to round up the highlights.
