"Poland has long voiced concerns about the unfair practices of e-commerce platforms from third countries operating in the European market," Deputy Development and Technology Minister Michał Baranowski told reporters on Thursday.
"These platforms do not adequately verify whether the products they offer are safe, including items intended for children," he added.
Baranowski said the decision sends a clear message to Temu and similar platforms that they cannot ignore the rules of the EU single market or compromise consumer safety.
