Cultural programme for Poland's EU presidency unveiled

Poland has announced an extensive cultural programme for its presidency of the European Union in the first half of next year.

The programme features several hundred events at home and abroad, aiming to showcase a wealth of emerging national talent, officials have said.

Details were unveiled at the Grand Theatre/National Opera in Warsaw, where a special concert will take place on January 3 to inaugurate the country's EU presidency.
