The program is a partnership between L'Oréal Polska, the Polish Committee for UNESCO, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the UN Global Compact Network Poland.
For a quarter of a century, the initiative has supported young female researchers who face challenges early in their careers such as combining scientific work and family life, lack of confidence in their abilities or limited research funding.
"The program began 27 years ago in France and indeed the first country outside of France that started the local edition was Poland. We are very proud of that fact as we have already been able to award 137 Polish women researchers," Valery Gaucherand, Director General of L'Oreal Poland and the Baltics, told Danuta Isler during the gala.
