The actor has joined forces with volunteers from the US-based charity World Central Kitchen to provide those in need with hot food, according to his social media updates.

'Borscht for 1,500'

One Instagram photo shows Schreiber helping prepare a super-sized pot of borscht for Ukrainian refugees.

“Borscht for 1500! Day one in Przemyśl, Poland, just beyond the Ukrainian border,” Schreiber wrote. "World Central Kitchen continues to be the rockstar NGO serving and feeding those who have lost nearly everything. Huge thanks to all the extraordinary volunteers."

In another picture, the actor is seen chopping vegetables.

“I’m super proud of my 'chopping blister.' All the chefs say it’s a real badge of honor,” he joked.

Schreiber thanked everyone taking part in the #ChefsForUkraine initiative, which supplies refugees with daily meals.

Born in San Francisco of mixed, Jewish-German-French descent, the 55-year-old actor and filmmaker has appeared in many popular movies and TV series, including Love in the Time of CholeraSpotlight and Ray Donovan.
