"I can say that we're currently training Ukrainians in Poland in the use of the anti-aircraft defences," Johnson told reporters during a visit to India, as cited by Polish state news agency PAP.

He added that Ukrainian troops were also undergoing training in Britain in the use of armoured vehicles, the PAP news agency reported.

A British government official has been quoted as saying that more than 20 soldiers arrived in the UK last week for training on 120 military vehicles being supplied by Britain to Ukraine amid Russia's invasion.

The Ukrainians are being trained to operate the Mastiff, Wolfhound and Husky armoured vehicles, and will also be shown how to use the Samaritan ambulance, and Sultan and Samson armoured reconnaissance vehicles, the official said, according to the Polish news agency.

Johnson this week announced Britain would step up military aid to Ukraine and provide more artillery systems amid Russia's offensive in the eastern Donbas region.
