The latest figures from the eastern front were provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

9 Russian attacks repelled in Donetsk and Luhansk regions

In Sunday’s operational update, posted on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, the Ukrainian army said: “In the past 24 hours, nine enemy attacks have been repulsed in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions.”

5 Russian tanks, 4 artillery systems, 10 armoured vehicles smashed

It added: “five tanks, four artillery systems, ten units of armoured combat vehicles and two enemy vehicles have been destroyed.”  

Moreover, “air defence units hit one Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle,” while “anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force shot down two cruise missiles, and strike aircraft destroyed twelve units of enemy military equipment,” Ukraine’s army officials said.

Sunday is day 88 of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
