Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, Stiller is visiting the Polish border city of Rzeszów, to "help highlight the growing needs of those who have fled the war in Ukraine and to call for support for all people globally who have been forcibly displaced from home," the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) wrote on its website.

“I’ve just arrived in Poland with UNHCR to meet families whose lives have been torn apart by war and violence in Ukraine,” Stiller posted on his Instagram upon landing on Saturday.

“I’m here to learn, to share stories that illustrate the human impact of war and to amplify calls for solidarity,” he said adding that “millions have been forced to flee their homes, with over 90 per cent being women and children.”

The Zoolander and Meet The Fockers star started working with the UNHCR in 2016 and has travelled with the body to meet refugees in Germany, Jordan, Guatemala and Lebanon, the Daily Mail wrote on its website.

Stiller is not the first celebrity to arrive in Poland to involve themselves in humanitarian work for Ukraine, with Liev Schreiber personally helping prepare meals for Ukrainian refugees in the southeastern city of Przemyśl in mid-April.

The actor has joined forces with volunteers from the US-based charity World Central Kitchen to provide those in need with hot food.
