The women’s battalion also keeps reminding the international community that the war in Ukraine rages on, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Alona Danylova, who founded the group, was cited as saying in Kyiv: “We must help our soldiers - our husbands, brothers and fathers.”
She added: “2,500 women have joined us over the past three months and today all their efforts and dedication are focused on eastern Ukraine.”
Danylova said the group "consists mainly of Ukrainian women from home and abroad, but we also have many women from other countries, including Poland,” the PAP news agency reported.
Non-lethal equipment for Ukrainian army
Danylova added: “We bring non-military equipment to Ukraine: night vision devices, ... power generators and other non-lethal tactical equipment. The soldiers gave us a list of products that they need.”
'If Putin isn’t stopped here, he will march further'
The Women’s Battalion is active on social media, its founder said.
“We promote our activities there, spread awareness about the situation in our country and collect resources to help the army,” Danylova added.
She told reporters: “People simply must understand that Ukraine is the heart of Europe, that the war must remain the world’s number one issue, and not just one of many problems, as is currently the case ... If Putin isn’t stopped here, he will march further.”
Monday is day 138 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
