Ukraine has received a new batch of 20 Polish-made FlyEye drones to help it fight Russia's invasion, officials said on Tuesday.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said on Twitter that FlyEye drones were "powerful support" for troops defending his country against Russian attacks on the front lines.

He added that the Polish drones enabled "air reconnaissance at a distance of up to 60 km" and were equipped with advanced day and night cameras.

"The best tech for the greatest Army," Fedorov tweeted.

The announcement came after Ukraine's ukrinform.net website reported earlier this month that Kyiv was negotiating with Warsaw to secure more FlyEye drones for Ukraine's armed forces and Border Guard service.

Ukraine's Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi at the time discussed the delivery with his Polish counterpart Mariusz Kamiński during a visit to Warsaw, according to ukrinform.net.

Top Ukrainian top officials have repeatedly praised the performance of Polish unmanned aerial vehicles in the war against Russia, according to Polish news outlets.

The FlyEye reconnaissance drone is manufactured by Polish company WB Electronics.

Tuesday is day 153 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
