Przydacz, who is a foreign policy adviser to Polish President Andrzej Duda, said that he would meet with US officials to explore "possible scenarios for the development of the situation in Ukraine."

Przydacz told broadcaster TVP Info on Saturday that his trip would include consultations at the US Department of State and the National Security Council.

"The United States is the leader of the Euro-Atlantic world and our most important ally," said Przydacz, who heads the Polish president's International Policy Bureau.

"The intensity of our contacts must be maintained," he added.

News outlets reported earlier this week that US President Joe Biden may travel to Europe and visit Poland next month to mark the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The White House has not confirmed the plan, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Saturday was day 339 of Russia’war against Ukraine.
