Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 169,170: report

Around 169,170 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February last year, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 3,574 tanks, 6,921 armoured personnel vehicles and 2,616 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces "eliminated" 1,020 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 511 multiple launch rocket systems, 276 air defense systems, 305 warplanes, 290 helicopters, 18 warships, and 2,208 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Friday is day 394 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
