"I spoke with Zbigniew Rau to thank our Polish friends for all their support," Kuleba said in a tweet on Tuesday.

"We reviewed the immediate and long-term needs of Ukraine’s defence forces that can be covered by Poland," he added.

"We both agree on the need for decisive steps regarding Ukraine at the NATO summit in Vilnius," Kuleba also tweeted.

Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau told reporters last week that mechanisms needed to be created to bring Ukraine closer to the Euro-Atlantic community and NATO.

Tuesday was day 412 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
