Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 205,720: report

Around 205,720 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February last year, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 3,796 tanks, 7,435 armored fighting vehicles and 3,384 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces killed 460 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 570 multiple launch rocket systems, 328 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 310 warplanes, 296 helicopters, 18 warships, and 2,910 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.

Friday is day 457 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
