"The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office and the police are conducting searches in the Kyiv City State Administration regarding residents' statements about a shelter being closed during the Russian night attack that killed three people", the Ukrainska Pravda website reported.

Only 2 weeks ago, in the middle of May, during a large-scale Russian attack, residents of the capital complained about many shelters being closed.

"A special committee for shelter control is being created in the capital, announced the Minister of Strategic Industries", Oleksandr Kamyszyn, quoted by the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

The commission, consisting of municipal authorities and representatives of the emergency services, police, and other structures, is to report daily on the progress of its work. In addition, the mayor of the capital and Minister Kamyszyn are to randomly check shelters in various districts of the city, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

"A nine-year-old girl, her mother, and another woman were killed by falling debris after rushing to a Kyiv shelter on Thursday morning and finding it was shut", the Ukrainska Pravda website informed. Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
