Ukraine admits to targeting electrical grid in Russia’s Kursk

Ukraine's Security Service acknowledged on Friday its involvement in an attack on an electrical substation in the Kursk region of Russia, as reported by CNN.

According to the statement CNN obtained from the security service, the operation targeted the substation due to its role in supplying electricity to significant Russian military establishments.

The statement further suggested that if Moscow persists in assaulting Ukrainian infrastructure, Kyiv's forces stand ready to retaliate similarly.

Earlier on Friday, the governor of Kursk reported power outages affecting five local settlements and a hospital, attributing the disruption to a drone strike, with Kremlin authorities claiming to have intercepted and downed 10 Ukrainian drones over Kursk.
