On September 1, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the White House would consult with the Polish government to better understand Poland's position on continued military support for Ukraine.
The Polish Radio correspondent Marek Wałkuski asked John Kirby whether the American administration managed to obtain explanations from Warsaw. "Poland is the first distinguished NATO ally to provide tremendous support to Ukraine on many different levels, not the least of which is enabling us to maintain a military presence to facilitate coordination and delivery of support to Ukraine," a White House National Security Council spokesman responded.
John Kirby added that the US is grateful for everything Poland has been doing to support Ukraine. He stressed that he was not aware of any further discussions about Polish support for Ukraine.
