Ukraine downs 15 of 25 Russian drones: reports

Ukraine's air defence forces said they destroyed 15 of 25 attack drones launched by Russia against Ukraine overnight into Monday.

"At night, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine once again, using 25 Shahed UAVs," the Ukrainian air force said on Monday morning.

"The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 15 attack UAVs,” it added, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Monday that "64 combat engagements took place" over the past 24 hours.

It added that Ukrainian aircraft "struck 10 areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, as well as hit one anti-aircraft missile system," Ukrinform reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Monday is day 747 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
