In an interview with the German TV channel ARD, published on Sunday, Ukraine’s top spy said he expects intensification of Russian offensive actions in late spring or early summer.

Budanov suggested that Russian forces might aim to advance towards Pokrovsk, situated approximately 70 kilometers northwest of the city of Donetsk.

"They will move a little towards Chasiv Yar. They will move in the strategic direction of Pokrovsk," he predicted.

Budanov indicated that while the current situation on the front is challenging, Ukrainian forces have it under control.

Highlighting the urgent need for weaponry and ammunition, Budanov emphasized that Ukrainians require substantial supplies in this regard.

Additionally, during his interview with the German public television channel, Budanov categorically denied any involvement or connections between Ukraine and the recent attacks at Crocus City Hall near Moscow or on the NordStream gas pipeline.
