Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 477,430: report

Around 477,430 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 7,418 tanks, 14,246 armored fighting vehicles and 12,317 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Wednesday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Tuesday alone, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 970 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,057 multiple launch rocket systems, 792 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 349 warplanes, 325 helicopters, 26 warships, and 9,728 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Wednesday is day 805 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
