Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces remain on the defensive in the Donbas front, where Russian troops have achieved some successes.

According to the Deep State portal, the Ukrainian army recently captured the village of Krasnooktyabrskie in Kursk Oblast. According to Polish Radio’s news agency IAR, analysts suggest that Ukrainian forces are attempting to encircle a large area, including Russian troops stationed there.

However, IAR quoted retired Ukrainian Army General Serhiy Kryvonos as saying that the Ukrainian operation in Kursk Oblast could face mounting difficulties. Moscow is reportedly transferring well-equipped and highly trained units, including several battalions of the elite 76th Airborne Division, to reinforce their positions in the region.

On the Donbas front, Russian forces have made gains, capturing several towns near Pokrovsk, according to data from various analytical portals.

In a separate development, Ukrainian forces launched a nighttime drone attack on Russian positions, successfully targeting a military airport in the Volgograd region.
