The meeting aimed to pave the way for a summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin as the two sides discuss restoring bilateral relations.

Trump stunned the world last week announcing he had held a phone conversation with Putin. He later called that phone call "lengthy and highly productive."

Speaking to reporters during the Munich Security Conference over the weekend, Poland's Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski referred to the phone call as "a mistake."

Thomas Kent, a specialist on disinformation, Russian media and journalistic ethics, spoke to Danuta Isler about the relationship between the two world leaders.

"I am sure Putin wants predictability and Trump is unpredictable," Kent said. "You know - Trump said many wonderful things about Putin, and he also armed Ukraine to the teeth, which enabled Ukraine to resist the Russian invasion."

So, is Trump a "Kremlin puppet," as some suggest? Tune in to find out.
