Russian missile strike kills four, injures 31 in Ukraine’s Kryvyi Rih

At least four people were killed and 31 others injured after a Russian missile struck the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, local authorities said late on Wednesday.

Serhiy Lysak, governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, confirmed via Telegram that among the wounded was a child. Several victims were reported to be in serious condition.

Initial reports had indicated one fatality before the death toll was revised upward.

The missile hit a five-story hotel, causing significant damage. Emergency responders said nearly all the building’s windows were shattered.

Rescuers managed to pull 14 people from the rubble as search efforts continued. A crane was deployed to reach higher floors.

Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, has been a frequent target of Russian strikes since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion three years ago.
