“To Poland 92 drones were flying. We shot them all down. Nineteen reached them (Poland). Yes, we brought them down over Ukrainian territory,” Zelensky told a press briefing, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

He said Ukraine tracked the flight paths and concluded that all 92 drones were directed at Poland.

During a visit to Kyiv on Sept 18, following the incursion, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz and his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal signed an agreement to train Polish forces in detecting and countering Russian drones.

Zelensky added on Saturday that Ukraine had expanded domestic production of drone interceptors but faced funding shortages. “We have already launched a strong system of their production. There are many Ukrainian companies that know how to do this, but there is not enough financing,” he said.
