Russia launched another large-scale attack overnight, hitting energy infrastructure and using ballistic missiles and drones, according to Ukraine’s air force and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.

Ivan Fedorov, the head of the military administration in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, said a seven-year-old boy was killed, and many people were wounded in the strikes.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on Telegram that the capital’s left bank was without electricity and faced water supply disruptions. A journalist for AFP living in the area also reported the loss of power and water.

Tymur Tkachenko, who leads Kyiv’s military administration, said drone strikes sparked a fire in a residential building in the city’s Pechersk district.

City authorities said public transport in Kyiv was running on a limited basis. Some trolleybus and tram routes were suspended due to power cuts, with buses maintaining links between districts.

Ukraine’s grid operator Ukrenergo imposed emergency power shutdowns in the northern Sumy region as crews worked to stabilize the system. Hrynchuk said Russia had focused its latest barrage on energy facilities.
