Repair crews are working to restore essential services in both the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, Kuleba said on Telegram, adding that efforts are ongoing to bring back heating and water supplies for over a million affected residents.
Russian forces carried out a large-scale drone assault overnight targeting infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk, regional governor Vladyslav Haidvanenko said. Ukrainian air defenses reportedly downed 31 drones during the attack.
In the city of Zaporizhzhia, Russian attacks involving drones and tactical aircraft continued throughout the night. Local authorities said electricity has since been restored and efforts are underway to resume full heating and water services. Power has also been secured for heating plants, which are operating normally, said Zaporizhzhia regional head Ivan Fedorov.
Despite the damage, train services continue in both regions, although in Dnipropetrovsk they are operating with diesel locomotives, officials added.
