The Operational Command of Poland’s Armed Forces said the objects entered the country’s airspace overnight and were closely monitored.

In a statement posted on X, the Operational Command said the flights posed no threat to civilian aviation or public safety.

“The cooperation of the Polish Armed Forces with services responsible for state security allows for a rapid response, including the interception of objects and the detention of individuals suspected of being involved in these incidents,” the statement said.

It added that Poland’s armed forces remain on constant alert to protect the country’s airspace.

Polish military authorities have reported similar incidents in recent days. In previous statements, they said the balloon-like objects were believed to have entered Polish airspace from neighbouring Belarus and were likely used for smuggling purposes.
