The center will be launched during the third annual UA Fest family festival in the Polish capital, the Ukrainian Veterans Corps said.
The Veterans Corps center will provide Ukrainians with information and assistance, as well as a place to connect with people and a community who understand their needs; it will also support families of military personnel, according to organizers.
The opening will also mark the launch of the Families project, which aims to bring together relatives of service members, veterans, prisoners of war, people missing in action and fallen defenders to provide mutual support and preserve the memory of those killed in the war, according to the Ukrainian Veterans Corps.
The Warsaw center will be the first Veterans Corps center in Europe and the beginning of a systematic approach to addressing the needs of Ukrainian families living abroad, organizers said.
They added that the model is intended to be expanded to other countries with Ukrainian communities.
The Veterans Corps also aims to share its experience in social inclusion and responsibility with international partners.
Festival visitors will be able to meet the Veterans Corps team and learn more about its initiatives and plans, organizers said.
UA Fest will bring together members of Warsaw’s Ukrainian community for a day of music, culture and community activities, according to the announcement.
The program includes performances by Ukrainian musicians, the final of a Ukrainian song contest, a market featuring Ukrainian brands and local businesses, workshops and activities for children and adults.
