“The crimes Russia has committed on close to 300 inhabitants of Bucha and other towns outside Kyiv must be called acts of genocide and be dealt with as such,” Morawiecki wrote on Facebook.
He also addressed European Commission President and European Council President saying Poland demands “a convocation of the European Council as soon as possible to discuss Russia’s crimes and EFFECTIVE SANCTIONS.”
“The massacre in Bucha is more than an alarm bell for Europe and the world… Putin’s criminal and increasingly totalitarian regime needs to have one thing imposed on it: SANCTIONS WHICH ACTUALLY WORK,” Morawiecki also wrote.
Poland's foreign minister called on Sunday for the international community to help Ukraine investigate the actions of the Russian army in the region around Kyiv, as outrage grew over the discovery of dead bodies in the town of Bucha, the Reuters news agency reported.
