Following a challenging winter marked by supply shortages, the front lines are now seeing the replenishment of vital 155mm caliber shells, addressing a pressing need that had hampered defensive efforts against Russian forces. That provided a much-needed morale boost in the Ukrainian trenches, where the mood is much better than it was just a month ago, according to volunteers from the Russian Weather Foundation.
Aldona Hartvinskaya of the foundation cited the spring weather and the influx of ammunition as key factors uplifting spirits. "There is sunshine from which you can load solar panels with powerbanks and that kind of equipment. There is information that a lot more ammunition has arrived and transports are reaching Donbass. This is very encouraging," Hartvinskaya was quoted as saying by state broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.
Despite the positive developments, Rafał Roszkiewicz, head of the “Chase the Russian” Foundation, pointed out the ongoing disparities in ammunition supplies between Ukraine and Russia and underscored the persistent equipment and supply shortages faced by the Ukrainian army.
"The mood is not bad, but there is a shortage of vehicles, drones, combat medicine, and collimators. Ukrainian soldiers are holding firm. If they get these things, they will defend Ukraine and Europe," Roszkiewicz said, as quoted by IAR.
